84% Reduction in Price of Telephone Number Validation

Please note that in November 2021 we discovered this price reduction was based on a mistaken reading of our own cost -- specifically, a misplaced decimal, which resulted in us believing our cost was 1/10th of its reality.

Ouch!

As of this month, the price on telephone number validations is changed to 6.5 cents.

When we first introduced this outstanding feature (see here for introductory notes), we regretted that, to get truly great validation data (including whether it's a cell number, and therefore is capable of text-messaging), it was pricey.

Specifically, given our underlying cost (we buy the service from Twilio), we were pricing validations to you at 9 cents each. Sure, 9 cents is not on its face a big amount -- but, multiplied by thousands of times, it could add up.

Happily, we have entered into a range of usage with Twilio that entitles us to very large discounts. Those discounts are so large that we can now offer you this valuable service at a fraction of its former price. Specifically, effective January 1, 2020, we are charging just 1.5 cents (no longer true, see note above). That's 1/6th of the former price!

Yes, we're happy to do it . . . and we hope, if you've not prior made full benefit of this valuable feature, you'll begin doing so immediately.

Another Item Added to ModelNumber Lookup Options

A user suggested this, and I wondered why we'd not thought of it before.

After all, as a model-lookup system, SmartParts was offered earlier than any of the online resources, and it's Rossware's own system. Why did we not make an internal link to it -- in particular, that auto-captures the model number of interest?
