V&V Direct Part Order Warehouse Selection

After our March webinar discussing how to submit a direct order to V&V and Encompass a user asked if it was possible to request their V&V order was shipped from a specific warehouse. The default assumption when placing a direct order from V&V is the order will be shipped from their main distribution center in Youngstown. This version of ServiceDesk makes this possible by adding a warehouse field to the vendorslist.csv file.

Your vendorslist.csv file is in your netdata folder and can be found by navigating to the Parts Management menu and selection Vendor Management. After opening the file in excel or other spreadsheet application, you would want to add the warehouse number to column J.

Improved Service Bench Dispatch Link Apparent Repeat Handling

It has been observed that when the Dispatch # is in the Service Location instead of the Paying Party, the method for determining if a dispatch was an apparent repeat was failing to make a proper deduction. With this version, this is corrected and ServiceDesk will properly identify the Dispatch ID information in either location.

It was also noted that some apparent repeat dispatches were caused by a misidentification of changes to special instructions, customer email, or the service address. This has also been corrected with this version.

Finally, with this version SBDL has a new option to include callsheets generated with “Customer has changed…” information with the same callsheet handling settings as apparent repeat/duplicate dispatches. The user can select to auto-delete or to not have the callsheet generate at all. Checking the option to “treat all job updates as repeats” will enable this new inclusion.
