RSS - how to fix a "black screen"

If you receive an "all-black screen" when connecting to your RSS server, please try this troubleshooting step to resolve the issue.
Open the Remote Desktop Connection program.
Before connecting, click 'Show Options' (at the bottom left).
Click the 'Experience' tab.
Uncheck the 'Persistent bitmap caching.'
Press "Connect" to connect to the RSS server.
